*It is highly recommended to install new shock boots at the time of shock or spring replacement if the vehicle has anything over 50,000 miles.
Normally, deterioration over time will cause the center rubber boot to disintegrate, exposing the shock rod.
Replacement willl prevent any accelerated wear on the shock seals by keeping dirt or other contaminants from contacting the shock rod.
This is also the spring insulator seat, so ride height or level stance can be potentially affected by these boots. These are available below. |
